Snoring is the unpleasant noise made by some sleepers. Over forty million people have problems snoring. If either you or your partner snores, there are some things you can do about it. If invasive procedures like surgery aren’t for you, you might want to investigate the wide variety of anti-snoring pillows on the market. For obvious reasons, patients have been looking for things that don’t involve drugs or surgeries to help them with their snoring. Several different doctors have worked on this problem, and over a century ago a doctor named L.F.Liebhard devised a pillow to help snorers kick the habit. The pillow is based on the idea that sleeping on the back makes snoring more serious.

Many anti-snoring pillows operate on the same principle today. Most anti-snoring pillow products force you to sleep on one side or the other, making sleeping on your back tougher by their design. Sleeping lying on your back often prevents many people from properly directing the air passage through their nose and throat, leading to the vibrations of the mouth and throat that cause snoring. If snorer change position to their sides they can often fine tune their breathing patterns in such a way that it prevents snoring problems. There are several different manufactures of anti-snoring pillows. These different manufacturers have slightly different products, but mostly all of them use the same principle. An American brand manufactures a polyurethane foam pillow made for durability and comfort. Another brand uses a latex pillow which can be pumped with air, making lying on the back impossible sleeper. A `hide to side’ roller shits sleepers to their side. Another pillow made from buckwheat hull ensures you a sound and snore-free sleep. A cervical/orthopedic anti-snoring pillow is another option that enables a person to sleep on both sides and stomach. This pillow is designed in a way to help the people who snore a lot and people who face sleep problems get a good night’s sleep. A renowned doctor has devised his own version of an anti-snoring pillow with a thick cushion that is attached to the sleeper’s back. The bulk and positioning of the cushion makes it impossible to sleep on the back.

The pillows available are made of many different products and designs. Various different manufacturers have slightly different products, but mostly all of them use the same principle, helping sleepers to avoid the back sleeping position. An American brand makes a polyurethane foam pillow made for comfort and strength. Another uses a latex pillow which can be pumped with air, making lying on the back impossible. A `hide to side’ roller shits sleepers to their side.

There are other products that work on slightly different principles, including an anti-snoring collar. This anti-snoring product, though unique, also helps keep the airway open during sleep to prevent snoring as do the pillows.

Many of these pillows are comfortable, practical and inexpensive. The pillow is far more effective and easy to use than expensive nasal sprays, mouth guards or even the head straps. Most of the people have stopped snoring by using the pillows rather than going on to see a doctor or try something more serious. An anti-snoring pillow should be one of the first things that snorers try to get a better night sleep.

Snoring, the cures

by rayjam

What is snoring? Snoring is caused by the vibration of the respiratory structures, including the uvula and soft palate. The vibration during sleeping is produced from obstruction during breathing. This blockage is caused by irregular airflow. Snoring is unpleasant, and can either be mild or severe. Following are the causes: *The throat closes While sleeping due to weakness. *A misalignment in the jaw is caused due to tension in muscles. *Extra fat gathers around the neck. *Obstruction in the nasal passageway.

Cures and treatments for snoring: If you fail to cure your snoring problem on your own, you may need to see a doctor such as a otolaryngologist or an ear, nose and throat specialist. A dentist specializing in snoring problems may be able to try a dental application to stop your snoring.

Surgery

Depending on what your problem is, you may be able to get surgery to help cure your snoring problem. Surgeries include Adenoidectomy, Uvulopalatopharyngoplasty (UPPP) and Thermal Ablation Palatoplasty (TAP), that surgically increase your airway by removing tissues or correcting abnormalities surgically. A surgeon will remove adenoids, tonsils or the excess tissue at the back of the throat or inside the nose. A surgeon may also reconstruct the jaw if that is the problem. These procedures are either performed by using laser, a scalpel or micro waving probe.

A new surgery known as the Pillar procedure or Palatal implantation has shown promise in helping to cure snoring. This surgery places small plastic implants, less than an inch long, with a syringe-like instrument into the soft palate. Scar tissue builds up around the plastic implants. This causes tissues of the soft palate to stiffen, helping to stop vibrations that cause snoring.

This operation can be performed under local anesthesia in doctor’s office. There is little pain involved and only mild side effects. The downside of this surgery is the expense. Most insurance companies consider surgery to cure snoring optional.

Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) A CPA is a machine that you place by your bed that blows pressurized air into a mask which is worn over your face or nose. This helps to keep your airway open during sleep.

Lower jaw positioners are dental appliances that can help. There are also oral devices similar to those used as mouth guards worn by athletes. These are dental devices that can help you open your airway. They help you cure your snoring by bringing the tongue or lower jaw forward while you are sleeping and opening the airway.

These dental devices, most of which are flexible, can be fitted around your head and chin to adjust your position of lower jaw. Some others fit inside the mouth and are acrylic. A dentist specializing in sleeping disorders can examine and fit you for any one of these devices.

You can ask your doctor or dentist about these medical treatments, which will help you to evaluate which option will be best for your snoring problems.

Snoring is the unpleasant sound caused by the vibration of the parts of the nose, mouth or throat structures that obstruct breathing during sleep. The sound is the obstruction during breathing while sleeping. This sound may be soft or loud, and the blockage may be slight or severe. Among the other factors are while sleeping the throat closes due to weakness, nasal passageways are obstructed, fat gathering around the throat.

A new surgery, the Pillar procedure or Palatal implantation, is showing results for chronic snoring sufferers. It involves small plastic implants, which are less than an inch long in size, that are inserted using a syringe like instrument into the soft palate. It can be performed in a doctor’s office under local anesthesia.

It causes stiffening of the tissue of the soft palate, helping to stop vibrations that cause snoring. The procedure results in little pain and very mild side effects. The major downside of the surgery is that it is expensive - insurance usually does not cover surgery for snoring. So if you have had a snoring problem that has resisted less invasive interventions ask your physician or a otolaryngologist or Ear Nose Throat surgeon whether it is right for you.

Other surgeries can help cure snoring problems. An adenoidectomy, Uvulopalatopharyngoplasty (UPPP) and Thermal Ablation Palatoplasty (TAP), are available to remove tissues or corrects abnormalities that will result in an increase of the size of the airway. There are other devices and procedures on the market that may be able to help snorers without surgery. A Continuous Positive Airway Pressure machine (CPAP) is placed by your bed to administer air blown into a mask which the snorer wears over the face or nose. This machine helps to keep breathing airways open while sleeping.

Lower jaw positioners, oral devices and dental appliances can also help to treat snoring depending upon the individual difficulty. Dental devices help sleepers open the airway. They are similar to those used as mouth guards worn by athletes and they reposition the tongue and jaw. These dental devices are mostly flexible and can adjust to the position of the jaw. Others can fit inside the mouth and are acrylic. Your dentist can talk to you about these options and refer you to the proper specialist.

Is Surgery The Best Option To Stop Snoring?

by Rudy Watkins

One single method for stopping yourself from snoring will not work for every person in every situation. For some, the only real solution for snoring is surgery.

The type of surgery needed to stop snoring is different for each person. Deciding which one is right for you is done by considering your body and the root cause of your snoring.

An otolaryngologist, a doctor of the nose, ears, and throat, should be consulted to discuss surgeries. Remember that surgery to correct snoring is usually considered cosmetic by insurance companies and therefore the costs of the surgery tend to not be cared for by them.

LAUP

Uvulopalatoplasty, or LAUP, is probably the most widely applied surgery for snoring. During the procedure, the tissue hanging in the back of your mouth, known as the uvula, is cut away by a laser so that it has less contact with the throat while you sleep.

The surgery helps individuals whose snoring is related to airway blockage from the uvula.

Somnoplasty

Another type of surgery commonly used to help with snoring problems is radio frequency tissue ablation, or RFTA. This is done under the trade name “Somnoplasty” and was only recently approved by the FDA.

RFTA is another way of reducing the size of the uvula, minimizing its contact with the throat. With RFTA, multiple sessions may be necessary before you see results. Because it is so new, there is not a lot of data published on it yet.

Coblation-channeling is another modern development for snorers. In this surgery, radio waves are used to make airway tissues smaller in hopes of opening up obstruction. This surgery is extremely new to the medical community, so very little data is available on it.

Repose

Repose, or tongue suspension, is another surgery that stops the tongue from collapsing into the airway and blocking it.

During this procedure the doctor places a screw into the lower part of the jaw bone and stitches are placed beneath the tongue so that it remains in the right place while you sleep.

Nasal deviation surgery is helpful to people who have breathing obstructions due to a deviated septum or other nasal blockage by removing them.

An interesting side effect of this surgery is that it also helps to improve your breathing during the day. For that reason, it is often covered by medical insurance policies.

Since any and all of the surgeries described in this article are serious medical procedures, speaking with a qualified doctor before making a decision regarding treatment is essential. Communicate with a medical professional in order to find out how to treat your snoring in the best possible way.

Understanding Statins and Cholesterol Medications

by Rich Benvin

Today, the number of American adults who should seek medical advice in order to reduce their high blood cholesterol levels has reached over 100 million. One medication which has limited side effects and is known to lower cholesterol levels and fight heart disease whilst Americans are continually getting larger are statins.

Don’t worry; you are not out of luck. This article focuses on the actions you can take to lower your cholesterol levels and live a healthier life. After we quickly explain to you what cholesterol is we can then provide you with ways your physician can prescribe statin medications to help. Statins are not the only cholesterol reducing drug, but it is the one we will be discussing throughout this article.

Cholesterol is a waxy, fat like substance that presents itself naturally in cell walls and membranes everywhere in your body. Your body uses cholesterol to produce many hormones. Where problems arise is when there is an over abundance of cholesterol in your bloodstream.

Your doctor may decide that you need help in controlling your cholesterol if you are not able to reduce it using natural treatments. Even if your doctor prescribes any of these medications, you must still follow through with healthy lifestyle treatments as well. There are several different types of medications used to lower cholesterol, but we will focus only on statins.

In order to know if you need these medications it is important you know both what statins are and also how they work to cut down your cholesterol levels in your body. HMG-CoA reductase is an enzyme in your body that is repressed by statins. This enzyme governs the rate cholesterol produces itself throughout your body. Anywhere from 20 to 60% is what statins are known to lower the body’s cholesterol levels by. Statins are the only drug that can truly lower your body’s Low Density Lipoprotein Levels (LDL). They do this by decreasing the production of cholesterol while at the same time increasing the liver’s ability to retract the LDL.

Statins can also produce a modest increase of HDL (High Density Lipoproteins) while decreasing total cholesterol and triglycerides. Positive results are usually seen after just 4 to 6 weeks of beginning the medication. Overall statins are proven for lowering heart attack risks, strokes and other coronary diseases related to high cholesterol levels.

Taking statins is not a good idea if: you are pregnant or breastfeeding; you have liver problems; you have experienced renal failure; you regularly drink 3 or more alcoholic drinks a day; or if you have allergies to the ingredients in statins or statins themselves. As always make sure to contact your local physician before using cholesterol lowering drugs.

Lipitor, Altocor, Crestor, Zocor, Lescol, and Mevacor are all brand name statins that you might have seen or heard of before. Please make sure to be aware of certain food and/or drug interactions that may cause you harm. If you consume more than a quart of grapefruit juice per day it can actually decrease the liver’s ability to process some statins. It is more important to note however, that there are other medications that can possibly interact with the statins to cause some severe side effects.

If you are taking prescription drugs or even OTC drugs such as: herbal supplements; medications for infections, immune system, heart failure, HIV or AIDS; birth control pills; Coumadin; or other cholesterol reducing drugs make sure to inform your doctor prior to using statins.

Although very rare, it is possible for side effects to surface from the use of statins. If you happen to experience vomiting, discolored urine, pain, muscle soreness, stomach pain, or weakness immediately discontinue the use of the medication and contact your physician.

What is snoring?

Snoring is making unpleasant sounds while sleeping. Basically it is the the vibration of respiratory structures because the airway gets obstructed during breathing during sleep. The sound may be soft or loud, or the problem minor or serious. If it is serious, a doctor might be consulted, but if it is minor, a snorer may be able to solve the problem by using one of the many products on the market, including snoring pillows.

Benefits of sleeping pillows

This German scientist developed a computerized pillow that helps to put an end to snoring and its irritating side effects. He developed a computerized pillow that senses a sleeper is starting to snore, and then shifts the head position until the unpleasant noise of snoring is stopped. At the university of Rock Stock, the developer of this pillow and professor in the computer science department, displayed the pillow at a recent health conference which took place in Germany.

Partner’s snoring

by Ray James

Snoring is the unpleasant noise produced due to the vibrations of parts of the respiratory system during sleep. Vibrations are caused due to the soft tissues and the weak throat muscles. Snoring is caused due to many factors like excess fats, drinking etc. However the are also various ways and means which helps to stop snoring.

When your partner snores it can be a headache. Not only is your partner not getting a good night’s sleep, he or she is making you uncomfortable also. Two people with sleep problems in one relationship is a recipe for trouble. Some of the common causes of snoring include the following:

People of all ages and both sexes can have problems snoring, but it is more common in men and as people get older. Older people are more likely to suffer from snoring as advancing age contributes to snoring. Snoring grows with the advancing age.Certain physical conditions make snoring more likely. Snoring can be caused by the nasal congestion, or by the blockage of airway from a cold. The congestion leading to the vibration of the soft tissue which causes snoring. Asthma and other breathing problems such as apnea are also a factor. Snoring can also be caused by enlarging of the tonsils and adenoids, smaller jaw and a long tongue which makes it difficult to breathe.

Snoring is also commonly caused by obesity, i.e. excess fat. The fatty tissue in the back of the throat and the neck makes it difficult to breathe. Behavioral and environmental factors can also influence snoring. Sleeping on back makes the problem of snoring more worse. Due to the gravity the tongue slid backwards to the back of the throat which limits the airway.

* Gender: Males are more prone to snoring, their necks are much larger than those of women. This means they have more tissues in the neck that can obstruct the airflow which leads to snoring. * Sleeping position: Sleeping on the back can cause snoring as the pharynx which is a muscular tube relaxes while sleeping. This cause narrowing of the airways which cause snoring. * Nasal congestion: Congestion due to allergies or cold can cause blockage of airways. Enlarging of tonsils and adenoids can also cause snoring. * Heredity: A person can inherit a narrow throat which can cause snoring. * Age: Snoring increases with an advancing age. * Smoking: Smoking irritates the respiratory system and exposure to the second hand smoke relaxes the muscles, which can cause the problem of snoring. * Obesity: People who are overweight are more likely to suffer from snoring problems, as they have more fatty tissues in their neck, leading to vibrations of the loose tissue.

Various behaviors can make snoring better or worse. Sleeping on the back can cause snoring as the pharynx which is a muscular tube relaxes while sleeping. This cause narrowing of the airways which cause snoring. Smoking irritates the respiratory system and exposure to the second hand smoke relaxes the muscles, which can cause the problem of snoring. People who are overweight are more likely to suffer from snoring problems, as they have more fatty tissues in their neck, leading to vibrations of the loose tissue. Certain lifestyle factors can make snoring worse. Obesity and lack of fitness lead to snoring difficulties since it leads to more fatty tissue in the throat that can vibrate with breathing blockage.

If your partner’s problem is structural, he or she might have to have surgery. But there are also some of the effective ways to cure your snoring problem include: * Losing weight. This will reduce the blockage by fatty tissue which is present in your airways. * If your problem is nasal congestion, inhalation of steam clears your nasal passages which helps you to cure snoring. Nasal congestion obstructs the airflow, leading to vibration. Steam inhalation with essential oils and nasal strips can also cure snoring. Nasal strips can cure snoring by keeping open your nostrils which help you to breathe more easily. You should use a nasal strip for 6-7 nights for better results. Other treatments for the source of nasal congestion may help, including seeing a doctor for allergies. * There are other products on the market depending on what the source of snoring is. If it is a problem in the throat, throat sprays may help. Or if it is a problem breathing through the nose, ask your doctor about the CPAP machine. * Your partner will want to avoid if at all possible taking alcohol or other sedatives taken before bed. Alcohol is a muscle relaxant which causes the throat muscles to relax while seeping, causing snoring. * Encouraging your partner to change sleeping position can also help them cure snoring problems. He or she should make it a habit on sleeping on your side as sleeping on your back can cause you snoring problems. Several pillows available online help with this.

Snoring in women

by Ray James

What is snoring?

Snoring is producing unpleasant sounds in a high or soft tone while sleeping. The root cause of snoring is vibration of tissues in the respiratory system, which causes obstruction in the air movement while sleeping. During sleeping the muscles, which are at the back of the throat, relax, and block the air passage with the structures of the soft palate.

Who snores more, women or men?

Both men and women snore, even though men snore more. In fact some women snore just as loudly as men do. Women snore more loudly with the increasing of age. And in comparison with women men sleep much more soundly. Research indicates that the habitual snorer faces problems of obstruction in the airways during the night that can contribute to a number of health problems including high blood pressure.

According to the Swedish snoring increases problems in pregnancy, including the risk of high blood pressure and smaller birth weight. Moms with a serious problem with snoring have the highest incidence of preeclampsia, high blood pressure, abnormal accumulation of fluid in the tissues, and weight gain.

Snoring in women also causes disruptions in breathing. When it is serious it can cause sleep apnea which is related to the stopping of the breath. Smoking also affects snoring habits, and cause ill-effects in pregnant women. Women who snore habitually gain more weight during pregnancy in comparison with the non-snoring pregnant women. The snoring pregnant women gain more retention in the fluid.

The mothers who are habitual snorers have babies that are are considered small for the gestational age at birth. During sleeping the consequences of increased upper airway resistance leads to affects on the fetus. This also supports the relationship between intrauterine growth retardation and sleep apnea.

According to Swedish research, pregnant women have a higher risk factor for high blood pressure and delivering smaller babies when they are habitual snorers. The incidence of high blood pressure, preeclampsia, abnormal fluid retention, and weight gain is more common for women that snore. Particularly associated with pregnancy is high blood pressure and preeclampsia. This condition involves an increase in the amount of the proteins in the blood and urine snorers. Around the world many great scientists have showed the link between increasing snoring rate and these problems in pregnancy. Further studies have revealed the connection between snoring of the mother and high blood pressure. Snoring in women also causes disruptions in breathing. It causes sleep apnea, which is related to interruption in breathing. Smoking habits also affect the snoring, and cause problems during pregnancy. Women who have frequent snoring gain more weight during pregnancy compared with the non-snoring pregnant women.

According to research, the habitual snorer faces problems of obstruction in the airways during the night times contributes to the increase of high blood pressure and preeclampsia in pregnancy.

Snoring: aids

by Ray James

Making of unintentionally unpleasing noises while sleeping at night is known as snoring. This noise is made when excess tissues in the nose, mouth and throat obstruct the airway and vibrate. Snoring is caused by many factors and is often not just a minor nuisance, it can be a major health risk. Obesity, sleep position and increasing age may also cause snoring as the muscles in the throat get loose. Depending on what the cause of the snoring is, there are many things that can be done about it.

Continuous Positive Airway Pressure

1. Surgery, including Sinus surgery

If the problem is serious and structural, there may need to be surgery. In sinus surgery, the air chambers present on either side of nose and between eyes, called sinuses, are removed. There are our pairs of these chambers called frontal, maxillary, sphenoid and ethnocide. Any blockage of the drainage system of the sinuses such as that with allergies or colds can causes infection. The procedure is not painful. The patient is anesthetized and the nose is examined with an operating telescope. Micro instruments are used in the whole surgery to remove and any areas of the blockage. Serious complications will rarely occur in this surgery. Bleeding is the most serious potential consequence.

2. Continuous Positive Airway Pressure

Sinus surgery

Sinuses are the air chambers present on both sides of nose and between your eyes. Mucus which helps to keep your throat and nose moist and healthy gets infected if the drainage channels of the sinuses get blocked from a cold or allergies. It can be treated by antibiotics and with nose drops. If these measures fail to cure the problem, an operation may be required.

This is not generally a painful operation. The person is given an anesthesia and the nose is examined using an operating telescope. Using micro instruments, the areas of blockage and the polyps are removed. Possible complications are bruising around the eye, infection, CSF leak and bleeding.

A jaw positioning device designed by a dentist pulls your tongue further away from sliding backwards to the back of the throat. It is like a splint worn at night to hold your lower jaw forward and keep tissues from blocking your airway. Jaw positioning devices vary in price. There are various types of splints available. For some people the splint is not that comfortable, and in those cases a custom fitted is usually recommended. The splint is used by the people to loose their weight.

Losing weight

Losing weight Overweight people have excess fat in their neck, causing their airway to narrow and leading to vibration of the soft tissue or snoring. Loosing weight will help to reduce those fatty tissue of the neck.

Oregon snoring:

by Ray James

Snoring is a not a disease but it may be a symptom of one. Researchers at Oregon Health and Science University have determined some of the factors that cause snoring. They include poor muscle tone, long uvula, long soft palate, nose blocks, bulky tissues in throat etc. Many of these problems need surgery, but mild and moderate snoring can be cured by changes to lifestyle.

Some cases of snoring can be treated by encouraging a healthy life style, including sufficient exercise and a balanced diet can reduce snoring. Alcohol and any kind of tobacco use will increase snoring, and should be avoided. Often sleeping pills or other sedatives can cause snoring. These should be avoided unless absolutely necessary and with a doctor’s recommendation. Following healthy sleeping habits will help snoring problems. Sometimes heavy pillows that elevate the head more than normal can help. They improve breathing that prevents snoring. Heavy meals at night can make the problem worse and should be avoided. A regular sleeping pattern also helps.

Sometimes more serious medical intervention is necessary. Snorers should seek a doctor’s care if their problem is serious or leads to serious sleep apnea. A doctor can Your will decide what treatment is required for snoring after factoring in age, physical health and other conditions. Pregnancy often makes the need to seek doctor’s care particularly urgent. Snoring can also be a symptom of another disease. Hypertension, stroke and other diseases including depression and obesity can cause snoring. Often treatment of these other conditions will alleviate the snoring. Using any nasal devices to open the nasal passage that allow free flow will help reduce snoring and increase the quality of sleep.

An Oregon medical group specializes in analyzing the cause of snoring and treating it. Dr. Lipman is an ENT specialist in Oregon who devoted his career to treating snoring and other sleeping disorders. In his book he has written in detail about snoring problems and the relevant treatments. He suggests surgical treatments to heavy snorers who can not get relief from snoring after trying all the changes in life style. Such heavy snorers may not get relief through various nose and mouth pieces available in the market. Surgical or laser treatment is the only way to cure them. The surgeon will enlarge the throat by removing tonsils and some parts of long soft palate. This will help to clear the nasal passage and you ca breathe easily by nose. This in turn will reduce snoring. Most of the people found relief after they got surgical treatment.

Oregon Health and Science University, Portland has done a research in the field of snoring and sleep apnea. Those who snore heavily usually suffer from sleep apnea more. Treatment to sleep apnea will reduce or even eliminate snoring. The Oregon Health and Science University suggests the use of nasal masks to prevent snoring, especially for those who have breathing problems. The nasal mask can provide sufficient air flow through your nose. Surgery may be necessary if these treatments don’t work. Before starting medical treatment, your doctor will consider the extent of snoring problem, your age and medical history.

Get Snoring relief

by Ray James

Snoring is the noise from the vibration of the loose tissues at the back of your throat. These tissues vibrate because they obstruct the air passage during sleeping. Snoring has become a universal problem, affecting people of both sexes. As men’s necks are larger than women’s, however, they are more likely to snore. This problem also highly prevalent in people who are overweight. Research shows that snoring gets worse with the developing age. If the problem is serious, then a doctor should be consulted, but often there are minor adjustments that can be made at home that will help.

Home remedies for snoring

1. Changing your sleeping position

Sleeping on your back makes your tongue slide downwards and restrict the passage of air. You should refrain from sleeping on your back, and make a habit of sleeping on your side to prevent snoring.

2. Reducing weight

Losing weight will help you cure snoring by reducing the fatty tissue which is present in your airways. Excess tissue is what causes obstruction, and the vibration of those tissues known as snoring. If you are able to reduce your weight by ten percent, you may be able to end snoring.

3. Avoiding drugs and alcohol

Avoiding alcohol before sleeping could help with a snoring problem. Alcohol is a muscle relaxant which causes the throat muscles to relax while seeping and narrow the airway. Research shows you may be able to totally end your snoring if you loose ten percent of your body weight.

4.Proper diet

You should try to get a proper diet to prevent snoring. Particularly, you should avoid milk products and high calorie products in order to avoid mucus accumulating in your throat which causes snoring.

5.Steam inhalation.

This clears your nasal congestion which helps you to cure snoring. Nasal congestion obstructs the airflow, leading to vibration creating noisy breathing. Steam inhalation with essential oils can also cure snoring.

6. Wrist bands

Snore relief wrist band is an adjustable wrist band which requires an AAA battery. Its size is 1/2″ H x 1 1/4″ W x 9 1/2″ L. (8 oz.) The wrist band is water resistant. This modern gadget can differentiate snoring from various noises prevailing in the room like that of the fan, air conditioner and snoring to provide you with natural relief from snoring by getting you to change positions. This gadget uses electrical signals which soothingly encourage your median nerves which are located at the inner wrists to shift the position of your body without waking you up. This device is clinically tested and research says that 80% of the participants experienced good quality of sleep.

7. Nasal strips

Nasal strips are flexible strips worn on the nose, which gently open nasal passages, helping you to breathe more easily. To have maximum effect, use the nasal strips continuously for 6 to 7 nights.

8. Snoring sprays
