Snoring is the unpleasant noise made by some sleepers. Over forty million people have problems snoring. If either you or your partner snores, there are some things you can do about it. If invasive procedures like surgery aren’t for you, you might want to investigate the wide variety of anti-snoring pillows on the market. For obvious reasons, patients have been looking for things that don’t involve drugs or surgeries to help them with their snoring. Several different doctors have worked on this problem, and over a century ago a doctor named L.F.Liebhard devised a pillow to help snorers kick the habit. The pillow is based on the idea that sleeping on the back makes snoring more serious.
Many anti-snoring pillows operate on the same principle today. Most anti-snoring pillow products force you to sleep on one side or the other, making sleeping on your back tougher by their design. Sleeping lying on your back often prevents many people from properly directing the air passage through their nose and throat, leading to the vibrations of the mouth and throat that cause snoring. If snorer change position to their sides they can often fine tune their breathing patterns in such a way that it prevents snoring problems. There are several different manufactures of anti-snoring pillows. These different manufacturers have slightly different products, but mostly all of them use the same principle. An American brand manufactures a polyurethane foam pillow made for durability and comfort. Another brand uses a latex pillow which can be pumped with air, making lying on the back impossible sleeper. A `hide to side’ roller shits sleepers to their side. Another pillow made from buckwheat hull ensures you a sound and snore-free sleep. A cervical/orthopedic anti-snoring pillow is another option that enables a person to sleep on both sides and stomach. This pillow is designed in a way to help the people who snore a lot and people who face sleep problems get a good night’s sleep. A renowned doctor has devised his own version of an anti-snoring pillow with a thick cushion that is attached to the sleeper’s back. The bulk and positioning of the cushion makes it impossible to sleep on the back.
The pillows available are made of many different products and designs. Various different manufacturers have slightly different products, but mostly all of them use the same principle, helping sleepers to avoid the back sleeping position. There are other products that work on slightly different principles, including an anti-snoring collar. This anti-snoring product, though unique, also helps keep the airway open during sleep to prevent snoring as do the pillows.
Many of these pillows are comfortable, practical and inexpensive. The pillow is far more effective and easy to use than expensive nasal sprays, mouth guards or even the head straps. Most of the people have stopped snoring by using the pillows rather than going on to see a doctor or try something more serious. An anti-snoring pillow should be one of the first things that snorers try to get a better night sleep.
